Sugar beet LORICET

The sugar beet hybrid LORICET is a mid-early variety distinguished by high yield and high sugar content in the root crops. The plants of this hybrid have medium height, while the root crops are of broad-conical shape with a mass of about 564 grams. The sugar content in the root crops reaches approximately 16.8-16.9%, ensuring a high sugar collection — from 88.1 to 119.4 centners per hectare, which significantly exceeds standard sugar collection indicators in various growing regions.

The LORICET hybrid is recommended for cultivation in various regions, including Krasnodar Krai and the Central Black Earth Region. It exhibits resistance to Cercospora, which contributes to maintaining plant health and crop stability. In particular, in the Oryol region, this hybrid exceeded the standard for sugar collection by 25.7 centners per hectare, while in Krasnodar Krai — by 14.2 centners per hectare, indicating its high adaptability and efficiency in various soil and climatic conditions.

Studies conducted in the northern part of the Central Black Earth Region showed that when choosing sugar beet hybrids for these conditions, preference should be given to medium and late hybrids, which includes LORICET. This confirms its suitability for cultivation in diverse agro-climatic zones, ensuring a stable and high yield of sugar beet with good technological characteristics.
