NK Neoma sunflower is a mid-season hybrid developed by Syngenta, combining high yield, oil content, and resistance to major diseases. It possesses genetic tolerance to Sclerotinia, Fusarium, and white mold, ensuring reliable crop protection and stable yield. Plant height reaches 150-170 cm, and seed oil content can reach up to 52%, making this hybrid one of the leaders in oil content quality. Yield under proper cultivation practices reaches 38-42 centners per hectare, and under favorable conditions — over 40 centners per hectare.
NK Neoma hybrid is intended for intensive cultivation and responds well to application of mineral fertilizers and top-dressings, enabling maximum potential realization. It is suitable for cultivation in eastern, northern, and central regions of Ukraine, however, the manufacturer does not recommend planting it in dry areas and warns against dense seeding. Optimal plant density at harvest should not exceed 55 thousand plants per hectare.
A distinctive feature of NK Neoma is its compatibility with Clearfield® technology, allowing the use of imidazolinone-class selective herbicides such as Evrolighting, Euro-Land, and Vitalight. Seeds are treated with fungicide and insecticide Cruiser, providing additional protection against pests and diseases in early growth stages. The hybrid is suitable for various soil preparation methods, including conventional, minimal, and zero-tillage, as well as for the "Clean Field" system, making it versatile and convenient in agronomic terms.
