Working with the NK Kondi hybrid from Syngenta feels like having a reliable partner in the field. When weather or soil conditions throw a curveball, this sunflower variety remains one of the most predictable choices for those who prefer consistent performance over high-risk gambles.

Cultivation and Protection

The main strength of this hybrid is its flexibility. It responds perfectly to the Clearfield production system, which is crucial if you are dealing with broomrape pressure. The Euro-Lightning herbicide application is seamless, allowing the crop to develop without any signs of stunted growth. Weeds are managed efficiently, and the plants focus energy on vigorous vegetative growth. Over a 110-120 day maturity period, it forms a robust, heavy head without requiring high-maintenance input.

Disease Resistance: Cutting Costs

Root and head diseases are often a massive headache for any operator. NK Kondi excels here by providing a solid defense. Phomopsis, Phoma, and gray or white rot are rarely issues on my fields anymore. The hybrid essentially acts like it has a built-in shield; its natural resistance to Sclerotinia allows me to save on extra fungicide applications, which significantly lowers the cost of production per ton.

Economy and Oil Content

At harvest, we consistently see oil content reaching 50-55%. This is a premium metric that elevator receptionists appreciate.
