The hybrid was created by the All-Ukrainian Scientific Institute of Selection using exotic embryonic plasma.
A single-seed triploid hybrid based on a sterile, yield-sugar oriented variety, resistant to cercospora and powdery mildew, combines high yield with high sugar content, possesses high technological qualities and meets the requirements of intensive cultivation technology. The hybrid seeds are obtained using an original technology protected by patent No. 1584836 (USSR).
During its testing at state variety trial stations (1997-1999), the hybrid received high evaluations and exceeded national standards on key indicators.
The hybrid has been included in the Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine since 2001 under No. 94013096, recommended for cultivation in the Forest-Steppe and Polesie regions.
