Sugar beet Frederic is an early-maturing diploid hybrid sugar beet of the yield-sugar type (NZ-type), developed for high yield and quality sugar. This variety is characterized by high root yield, averaging 545 centners per hectare in the Central Chernozem region, with sugar content around 17.4%, ensuring a sugar harvest of 95 centners per hectare. In the Ural region, the hybrid exceeded standard root yield by 140 centners per hectare, sugar content by 0.5%, and sugar harvest by 25.8 centners per hectare, with root mass averaging about 594 grams.

One of the key features of the Frederic variety is its high resistance to major sugar beet diseases, such as cercospora, rhizomania, powdery mildew, and downy mildew. In the Ural region, no disease incidence was observed, confirming the hybrid’s reliability under various climatic conditions. Due to these characteristics, this variety is suitable for cultivation across a wide range of regions in Russia, including the Central Chernozem, North Caucasus, and Ural regions.

The Frederic hybrid is suitable for the entire harvest campaign and ensures a stable high sugar yield of more than 10 tons per hectare.
