Sugar beet Aidar

Technological Efficiency in Sugar Beet Production

The 'Aydar' sugar beet variety, developed by the Institute of Bioenergy Crops and Sugar Beet of the NAAS, is designed for farms focused on minimizing post-harvest losses and maximizing sugar output in variable climatic conditions. Its core value lies in balancing high productivity with a robust phytosanitary profile.

Disease Resistance as an Economic Foundation

For growers operating in high-risk areas, 'Aydar' offers a significant advantage through its multi-layered resistance. The variety exhibits strong tolerance against rhizomania and cercospora, while its resistance to common scab ensures the roots maintain marketability and minimize rejection rates at processing plants.

Field Management and Harvesting

The broad-conical shape of the 'Aydar' root is optimized for modern mechanical harvesting, allowing for efficient extraction with minimal root breakage. When planning crop density, it is essential to adjust based on soil fertility and moisture availability:

• In highly fertile or irrigated conditions, a density of 100,000–110,000 plants per hectare is recommended to maximize yield.
• In areas with limited moisture, a density of 90,000–100,000 plants per hectare is preferable to ensure adequate resource allocation and optimal root development.

Choosing 'Aydar' is a strategic move for farmers looking for a reliable, domestically bred solution that performs predictably under standard agronomic practices.
