A New Standard in Buckwheat Breeding

The «Escalar» hybrid, registered in Ukraine in 2023, represents the latest advancements from the German breeding company P.H. PETERSEN Saatzucht Lundsgaard GmbH. Designed to meet the demands of modern agriculture, this simple hybrid stands out due to its genetic uniformity and robust performance.

Why «Escalar» Stands Out

Unlike traditional varieties, «Escalar» offers a significant advantage in field management. As a simple hybrid, it ensures high crop uniformity, which is essential for synchronized ripening. This feature minimizes harvest losses and ensures a consistent quality of the final grain product, meeting the high standards of the processing industry.

Broad Environmental Adaptability

One of the primary goals of the P.H. PETERSEN breeding program for this hybrid was to create a crop that thrives across diverse environments. «Escalar» is officially recommended for cultivation across all major agro-climatic zones in Ukraine:

• Steppe: Resilience under varying moisture conditions.
• Forest-Steppe: Efficient nutrient uptake and high yield potential.
• Polissya: Strong performance across different soil types.

For professional farmers, «Escalar» represents a reliable investment. By combining German breeding precision with high adaptability, this hybrid provides the stability needed to navigate the challenges of modern farming. It is the ideal choice for those who prioritize quality, consistency, and proven genetic potential in their buckwheat production.
