Shepeliy's Memory is a mid-season variety of sugar sorghum characterized by a period from germination to maturity of 106-109 days, while wax maturity occurs on day 95-100. The plant bush forms 2.5-3 stems of medium thickness, and the panicle reaches a length of up to 25 cm. The grain of the variety is round, light brown in color, membranous, and threshes well; the mass of 1000 seeds is 21-22 grams. Thanks to these characteristics, the variety ensures high yields of silage mass — 48-52 tons per hectare.
The variety is intended for use in agriculture, in particular for the production of sugar and other agronomic purposes. It is distinguished by high grain productivity and resistance to lodging, which makes it a reliable choice for farmers. The sugar content in the stem reaches 17-19%, which contributes to efficient use of the plant for sugar and molasses production.
In addition, Shepeliy's Memory is widely used for the production of silage, silageage, and green fodder, providing an average yield of dry matter of about 80 centners per hectare and green mass of 450-500 centners per hectare. The variety is recommended for cultivation in various regions, which confirms its adaptability and high productivity in different climatic conditions.
