Description VOLZHSKOYE 51
Volzhs koye 51 is a medium-early sugar sorghum variety with a vegetative period of 105 to 120 days. The plants reach a height of 180-190 cm and have good foliage. The variety has medium bushiness, with 3-5 stems per plant. The variety is characterized by high drought resistance and medium resistance to lodging, which ensures stable development and yield in various climatic conditions.

Sugar sorghum Volzhs koye 51 is intended for use as green fodder, silage, and silage. Stems contain 16-20% sugars, which requires a special approach to conservation: it is recommended to mix the mass with cereal crops with lower sugar content, such as corn, or to add 15-20% of chopped straw. When using bioconservatives, high-quality silage is obtained. The stems of the variety are coarser than corn, so the green mass must be thoroughly chopped, which facilitates better feeding of feed by all types of farm animals.

A feature of the Volzhs koye 51 variety is that its stems remain green and juicy until the onset of autumn frosts, which significantly extends the period of using green fodder. Ecological trials showed high productivity and adaptability of the variety in various agroclimatic conditions, including the territories of Russia and Tajikistan, which confirms its universality and reliability for agricultural production.
