Description EC Gisella
EC Gisella — is a high-yielding hybrid of sweet corn developed by Euralis (LIDEA), one of the world's leading companies in seed selection. The hybrid has a medium maturity period with an FAO index of 360 and a vegetative period of approximately 115–120 days. It is recommended for cultivation in Ukraine, particularly in the forest-steppe and northern steppe regions, where optimal planting conditions occur at temperatures not lower than +10ºC.

This hybrid is distinguished by high resistance to adverse factors such as lodging, drought periods, and common corn diseases, including fusarium of the ear and stalk, downy and powdery mildew, and helminthosporium. Plants exhibit enhanced growth energy in early development stages, relatively low mature plant height, and low ear position on the stalk. In late vegetative stages, the hybrid rapidly loses moisture, reducing drying costs and overall cultivation expenses.

Yield of EC Gisella in various Ukrainian farms ranges from 83.7 to 113.5 centners per hectare. To achieve maximum productivity, it is recommended to maintain optimal plant density: 60–70 thousand plants per hectare in regions with sufficient moisture and 50–55 thousand plants per hectare in areas with insufficient moisture. This approach ensures efficient resource utilization and stable high yields of sweet corn.
