Description Solaris
SOLARIS is an early-maturing sorghum-sudangrass hybrid intended for cultivation in northern and central regions. Plants reach a height of 250–270 cm and are characterized by high bushiness and a juicy stem. The hybrid is distinguished by strong anthocyanin coloration of seedlings and a pyramidal, drooping panicle. Seeds are light brown and elliptical in shape. The vegetative period is 90-95 days, allowing for an early harvest of green mass.

SOLARIS exhibits high resistance to drought and lodging, making it a reliable choice for various soil conditions — from light loamy to heavy clay. The hybrid is weakly affected by bacterial leaf spot and grain aphids, reducing the need for intensive plant protection. The potential yield of green mass reaches 500–700 c/ha, while protein content in green mass is 9–13%, sugar is about 13%, and fodder value reaches 200 feeding units per 100 kg of mass.

SOLARIS is versatile in use: it is used for producing green fodder, hay, silage, and grazing. Thanks to the possibility of three cuts with timely harvesting, it ensures stable and high production of fodder base. Recommended regions for cultivation include the Central Black Earth, Middle Volga, Ural, and Western Siberian districts, confirming the hybrid's adaptability to various climatic conditions.
