Maize ES GALLERY

Genetic Potential of ES Gallery

The French breeding program by Euralis Semences for the ES Gallery hybrid focuses on versatility. This simple cross-hybrid with an FAO 240 maturity rating demonstrates exceptional adaptability to various soil types, making it a reliable choice for professional agronomic management.

Grain Morphology and Performance

The flint-dent grain type was selected to provide an optimal balance between rapid dry-down at maturity and high grain test weight. Using ES Gallery for grain production significantly reduces drying costs, while its use as silage provides biomass with a high starch concentration, which is essential for feed quality.

Phytosanitary Defense

Euralis breeders paid particular attention to plant health. The hybrid exhibits strong resistance to common smut, a frequent issue in intensive cultivation systems. Furthermore, its genetic makeup includes resistance to various vascular diseases, ensuring stalk integrity until physiological maturity and minimizing lodging risks.

Agro-Technical Recommendations

The hybrid's yield potential depends heavily on maintaining an optimal plant population. To achieve target yields, the following seeding strategy is recommended:

• 55,000–60,000 plants/ha for regions with limited water availability (extensive management).
• 70,000–75,000 plants/ha under intensive production practices with balanced fertilizer application.

This density range allows the plant to maximize ear development by minimizing competition for light and soil nutrients.
