Rosa 'Titan' – a large shrub up to two meters high, which attracts attention both with its decorative flowering and its fruits. In mid-August, bright, abundant flowering begins: pink buds up to 10 cm in diameter with golden stamens create a picturesque view of the plot. The fruits are egg-shaped and elongated, narrowed towards the top, usually grow in clusters of three to five pieces and reach a high vitamin C content (up to 3200 mg%).
The yield of the variety is from 1.5 to 2.7 kg per bush. The fruits ripen in August and are excellent for storage in dried form due to their resistance to low temperatures and diseases. The shrub does not require special conditions: it is undemanding to lighting, grows well in strong wind and even in conditions of prolonged lack of sunlight, but it is better to plant in a light place.
Titan is distinguished by resistance to powdery mildew and winter hardiness. It does not tolerate acidic soils (pH > 6) and close proximity of groundwater, so in lowlands it should be placed on beds up to 80 cm high. On weakly acidic soils the plant grows normally, but in too acidic environments development slows down and diseases appear. Thanks to these characteristics 'Titan' is a reliable choice both for decorative greening and for obtaining useful berries.
