Rosa 'VICTORY' – the result of crossing the 'VITAMINNY VNI' cultivar and the '1–6–3' form of Rosa rugosa, obtained in the Moscow region under the leadership of V.D. Strelets. The bush is of medium height, moderately spreading, with good winter hardiness and disease resistance. The berries are large, oval-shaped, orange-red in color, possess a pleasant aroma, and have a high vitamin C content.
The 'VICTORY' cultivar berries are distinguished by their early ripening and medium yield. They are juicy, sweet-sour, as confirmed by a tasting score of 4.4–4.5 points. Due to the high concentration of vitamins, this rose hip is considered valuable both in cooking and in folk medicine.
The cultivar belongs to the group of ordinary and garden roses, is frost-hardy (USDA zones 4b), and requires little care. It can be grown in gardens and vegetable plots, where it will bear fruit already in the first year after planting. With proper care, the bushes maintain their shape and produce high-quality fruit suitable for fresh consumption, drying, and further use in various products.
