Gynlim Asparagus – an early-maturing Dutch hybrid, all-male variety, suitable for both fresh consumption and processing. The leaves of this variety are dark, well-developed, and retain their green color until late autumn, while being resistant to leaf diseases. The shoots have a slightly pinkish hue and may lose color, but overall they remain attractive to consumers.
The Gynlim variety is known for its low-maintenance care: it grows well in both sandy and clay soils, preferring fertile, well-drained areas. It does not tolerate flooded areas or soils with a high water table. The optimal planting depth is 18–20 cm, with a density of 3 to 3.5 plants per square meter.
The benefits of Gynlim asparagus extend beyond its taste: it is rich in vitamins B, D, and E, lecithin, choline, and folic acid. This makes it a valuable product for maintaining nervous system health, cell regeneration, and especially beneficial for pregnant women. Asparagus can be steamed, grilled, fried, or baked – all methods preserve its nutritional properties. Thanks to its early maturity and resistance to fungal diseases, this hybrid ensures good yields and high quality for both protected and open-field cultivation.
