XENOLIM – an early-maturing asparagus variety distinguished by its high quality and versatility. The young shoots of this variety are suitable for both boiling and frying, and are excellently preserved during canning. With its dense bud and light green color, XENOLIM stems measure 15–25 cm in length and 1–2.5 cm in width, with a single shoot weighing between 100 and 140 grams. The flesh is tender, yellowish-white, ensuring high taste and market qualities.
The variety is grown as both white and green asparagus: for white asparagus, a planting density of 3.5–4.5 plants per square meter of bed with 2-meter row spacing is required; for green asparagus, 4.5–6 plants per sq.m. Under optimal conditions, yield over three years reaches 3.0–3.5 kg/sq.m. XENOLIM is resistant to fusarium, rust, and root rot, making it a reliable choice for farmers.
This variety is widely used in commercial production: it is suitable for both fresh consumption in salads, side dishes, soups, and broths, and for long-term storage. Thanks to its high yield and longevity, XENOLIM is the preferred choice for both small farms and large operations requiring a steady flow of quality asparagus.
