BACKLIM Asparagus seedlings are a 100% all-male hybrid belonging to the late-maturing group. The variety is suitable for growing both white and green asparagus, ensuring reliable yield and high quality both in greenhouses and in open ground.

BACKLIM is characterized by dense shoots with a diameter of 28 mm, which are easy to process. The recommended planting depth is 18–20 cm, and the density is 3–4 plants per square meter (or 4–5 plants per linear meter). The culture prefers fertile, well-drained soils and does not tolerate flooded areas or high groundwater levels.

Asparagus of this variety can grow for many years, up to 15–20 years, while providing a good harvest each year. End-of-season care includes pruning the green part of the plant and composting, as well as mounding soil around young plants. BACKLIM is well-suited for harvest in the second half of the season and can be used both fresh and for processing (cooking, canning, semi-finished products). The shoots are rich in vitamin C and have nutritional properties, making them a valuable product for various dishes.
