Description GUELF ECLIPSE
The "Guelph Eclipse" asparagus is an early-maturing variety that quickly forms young shoots within the second or third year of the plant's life. The plant is tall, reaching 150–200 cm during flowering, with small, green, needle-like leaves. Buds form at the base of the vertical shoots, and cladodes develop in the leaf axils, consisting of three to six pieces.

The stalks of this variety are 15–25 cm long, 1–2.5 cm wide, and have a cylindrical shape with a dense bud. The mass of one stalk ranges from 100 to 140 grams. They are light green, thick, smooth, with a yellowish-white flesh, providing a delicate taste and high market quality. Due to this structure, the shoots are suitable for boiled and fried dishes, as well as for canning, salads, sides, soups, and broths.

For growing white asparagus, it is recommended to plant 5 plants per square meter of the bed with row spacing of two meters. The yield over three years reaches 2.7–3.0 kg/sq.m. The variety is resistant to fusarium, rust, and root rot, making it a reliable choice for long-term production.
