Prius F1 Asparagus – ultra-early hybrid of white asparagus, 100% all-male, developed by Dutch breeding company Bejo Zaden. Thanks to the complete absence of females, all plant energy is directed towards shoot formation, ensuring high yield and dense heads, which are signs of high quality.
For optimal growth, a planting density of 4–5 plants per linear meter is recommended (in some sources – up to 6). Plants prefer loose, fertilized soils with moderate moisture; they grow well in open ground as well as under temporary covers or in closed greenhouses. The hybrid is resistant to rust and fusarium, which reduces the need for aggressive chemical agents.
Prius F1 forms uniform, straight green shoots with an excellent tender taste. The plant's foliage apparatus is powerful, ensuring effective photosynthesis and overall plant health. Seeds are packaged in packs of 500 pieces, which is convenient for commercial cultivation.
