Berries are large, dense, and juicy: about 63% juice content, many seeds, and thick skin, making them resistant to transport and storage.
The variety is characterized by high content of vitamin C, carotenoids, and beneficial oils, so it can be consumed both fresh and processed – juices, compotes, oils. Yield reaches up to 20 tons per hectare with regular irrigation. The tree regenerates quickly, has a strong epidermis and an aesthetically appealing appearance. Sea buckthorn variety Mara is resistant to diseases, including it is not prone to fusarium, which makes it a reliable choice for gardeners.
Fruit bearing begins in mid-August – early period, and the tree reaches maturity already after two years. Berries are easily transported thanks to dense skin and maintain appearance during transport. The variety is suitable for growing on sandy soils as well as in more fertile soils, ensuring dense thickets and stable yields. Storage of berries is possible for up to 3 months at temperatures from -5 to 3 degrees, with humidity of 40-60%.
