Logix is an annual ryegrass variety (Lolium multiflorum Lam. var. westerwoldicum Wittm.), distinguished by its bright green leaf color and high yield. Leaf length reaches up to 40 cm, width is 0.5–0.7 cm, and the inflorescence is a complex spike about 22 cm long with individual spikelets 1.1–1.2 cm. The root system is fibrous and well-developed, providing drought resistance and allowing growth on heavy soils.
During the vegetative period, Logix demonstrates high productivity: the first-cut green mass yield is 82.0 kg/ha, the second cut is 100 kg/ha, and dry matter is 23.1 and 27.2 kg/ha respectively. The period from germination to harvest readiness is 50 days for the first cut and 44 days after regrowth, with no lodging observed.
The variety is primarily intended as a forage crop but also suits use in lawn mixes due to high tiller density and wear resistance. Logix roots quickly, grows densely, and withstands long periods of grazing pressure, making it an ideal choice for pastures and forage areas.
