KWS AVIATOR

KWS Aviator is a winter rye developed by German breeders of the company KWS SAAT SE, possessing a high yield potential of up to 120 c/ha. The variety is characterized by a mid-season vegetative period of 300 to 330 days and plant height of 110 to 150 cm. The mass of 1000 seeds varies within 32-40 g, and the crude protein content is 9-11%, ensuring high grain quality. KWS Aviator rye is distinguished by very high tillering intensity and medium development speed, which contributes to the formation of a powerful and productive plant mass.

One of the key features of the variety is its high winter hardiness and resistance to various adverse factors. Rye withstands a wide range of winter and early spring stresses well, has a reduced risk of infection with snow mold and ergot, which expands the possibilities of growing in risky farming zones. Moreover, the variety demonstrates resistance to powdery mildew, yellow and brown rust, Fusarium head blight, and also has good resistance indicators to drought and lodging.

Agrotechnically, KWS Aviator is recommended for sowing at optimal times with a seed burial depth of no more than 5 cm, with a sowing rate of 2.0 to 3.0 million seeds per hectare depending on cultivation goals. The variety shows high yield in various regions, including Ulyanovsk, Kaliningrad, and Orenburg regions, as well as Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, and Mordovia.
