Lyubasha

Lyubasha strawberries are a large-fruited remontant garden strawberry variety, distinguished by high yield and exceptional taste qualities. The berries feature a dark cherry color, conical shape, and a glossy surface, reaching a mass of up to 25 grams. They possess a sweet-and-sour taste with a delicate aroma of forest strawberry, making them ideal for fresh consumption as well as processing into juices, jams, jellies, and freezing. The variety is characterized by ultra-early ripening and prolonged fruiting—berries are harvested for up to three months in the mid-latitudes and up to four-to-five months in the south. Lyubasha strawberry plants have a sprawling medium-sized bush with good foliage. The variety is winter-hardy and resistant to diseases such as powdery mildew, brown spot, and gray mold, which significantly eases care and increases the chances of a stable harvest. For successful cultivation, it is recommended to adhere to proper planting schedules, ensure regular watering, fertilization, and weed removal. It is also beneficial to disinfect leaves and plant species that improve soil quality near strawberries, such as radish, radish greens, spinach, and sorrel. Lyubasha strawberry seeds are sown in March-April; seeds are mixed with sand and evenly distributed over a moistened surface. Seedlings appear within a month, after which, at the stage of 1-2 true leaves, seedlings are transplanted into individual pots. Upon reaching 6 true leaves, plants are transplanted into open ground with a row spacing of 25-30 cm and a plant spacing of 15-20 cm. Harvest is conducted as berries ripen, allowing enjoyment of fresh and aromatic fruits throughout the season.
