Strawberry SCENTED BASKET

The 'Scented Basket' strawberry variety is a winter-hardy remontant variety of small-fruited strawberry, characterized by early fruiting and a long ripening period from June to late autumn. Bushes are compact, 20-25 cm high, non-runner, hemispherical in shape, making them suitable for growing both in open ground and in pots. Berries are cone-shaped, red, evenly colored, and significantly larger than wild strawberry, weighing from 1.4 to 5 grams, with a rich sweet-and-sour taste and a pronounced aroma of fresh strawberry. The berry flesh is whitish, juicy, tender, and firm, ensuring a high tasting score.

The variety is distinguished by high yield, reaching 1.2-1.4 kg per square meter, and resistance to major diseases such as powdery mildew and botrytis, provided proper agronomy is followed. Strawberry 'Scented Basket' has medium drought and heat resistance, allowing successful cultivation in various climatic conditions. The plant is propagated by seeds, which are sown superficially on moistened soil followed by pricking out at the 1-2 true leaf stage and transplanting into the ground when 5-6 leaves have developed.

Successful cultivation requires regular watering, weeding, loosening, and fertilizing, which promotes abundant and prolonged fruiting. The variety is versatile and suitable for garden plots, farm enterprises, and personal subsidiary holdings. Due to its taste qualities, decorativeness, and resistance, the strawberry 'Scented Basket' will be an excellent choice for lovers of aromatic and juicy berries.
