Zubova's Memory is a large-fructified strawberry variety intended for cultivation in the Central-Black Earth region. The bushes are powerful and sprawling, about 15-20 cm high, with well-foliaged blue-green leaves that have a smooth surface and sparse hairs. The flowers are perfect, large, and white, located on medium-length peduncles with dense hairs. The variety is characterized by a medium-early ripening period and a universal purpose, making it attractive to gardeners and farmers.
The berries of the Zubova's Memory variety are large, of a regular conical shape, dark red in color, with a shiny surface and without a neck. The pulp is dense, juicy, dark red, with a pleasant sweet-sour taste and a pronounced aroma. The average berry weight is about 13.6 g, the maximum is up to 28 g. The fruit contains 8.5% sugars, 1.4% acids, and a significant amount of vitamin C — 85.4 mg%. The yield is high and with proper agrotechnology reaches 0.8-1.3 kg from one plant, which corresponds to approximately 171.3 c/ha.
The variety is distinguished by high winter hardiness and resistance to drought and heat, as well as low susceptibility to diseases and pests. Flowering begins about a month after planting the seedling and continues until the frosts, which ensures a long fruiting period. Thanks to these qualities, the Zubova's Memory strawberry is a reliable and productive choice for cultivation in the garden.
