Malga strawberry is a remontant Italian variety, characterized by early ripening and high yield. Compact, medium-sized plants have strong flower stems and glossy dark green leaves. The plants are highly cold-resistant and disease-resistant, making them resilient and productive in various climates, including open ground and greenhouses. In Ukraine, the variety can yield up to four times per year, ensuring a steady harvest from late spring until the first frost. Malga berries are large, uniform, conical, with bright red glossy skin, weighing 30–50 grams. The flesh is firm, juicy, sweet, with a distinctive aroma of forest strawberries. Berries lack internal voids, enhancing their market appearance and preserving their appeal during transport. Due to these qualities, Malga strawberries are popular among both amateur gardeners and commercial growers. The variety is recommended for cultivation in open ground and under plastic coverings. It exhibits high productivity — one plant can yield over one kilogram of berries per season. Low tendency to form runners simplifies plant care and promotes energy concentration on fruiting. Thanks to its high yield, excellent taste, and resistance to adverse weather conditions, Malga strawberry is a profitable choice for cultivation in various regions.
