Bogota

The "Bogota" strawberry is a late-ripening hybrid developed by Dutch breeders. This variety is characterized by large, fan-shaped berries weighing up to 150 grams with a diameter of about 10-12 cm, making them among the largest strawberries. The berries have a rich aroma, a sweet taste with a slight tartness, and a dense, juicy pulp, ensuring high taste quality and versatility in use — they can be consumed fresh, frozen, or processed.

The "Bogota" bushes are compact, ranging from 10 to 40 cm in height, with tall flower stalks at which the berries ripen at the level of the leaves. With proper care, the yield reaches up to 1 kg per bush. The variety is known for high resistance to diseases and pests, rarely affected by rot, although it may sometimes be susceptible to mites or rust. Thanks to the dense pulp, the berries withstand transportation well, maintaining their commercial appearance.

For growing "Bogota", chernozem and dense soils with moderate watering are recommended. The variety is well-adapted to the conditions of the North Caucasus and is suitable for cultivation in regions with similar climates. Care for the plants is of medium difficulty; with adherence to agronomy techniques, a stable and high-quality harvest of large, aromatic strawberries can be obtained.
