Pumpkin DANDELION

Operational Aspects of Growing Muscat Pumpkin

For large-scale production, predictability is the most critical factor. The "Romashka" variety is a muscat-type pumpkin that demands an agronomic approach aligned with its specific growth cycle. In field operations, the plant shows stable development, producing uniform, round fruits weighing between 3 and 5 kg. These dimensions are highly efficient for logistics and distribution, as they fit standard packaging sizes and are highly favored in the retail sector as a convenient portion-sized vegetable.

Storage and Handling Efficiency

The primary economic advantage of this variety is its long-term storage capacity. "Romashka" demonstrates excellent shelf life, enabling agricultural enterprises to avoid early-season market saturation and wait for optimal price windows. When maintained in standard storage facilities, the fruit retains its quality and marketability for several months.

• Consistent Weight: 3–5 kg is the operational standard, facilitating automated harvesting and sorting.
• Geometric Stability: The round shape simplifies palletizing and significantly reduces damage during transport.
• Genetic Consistency: Developed by FRC Rice, this variety offers high genetic stability, ensuring uniform crops without significant quality variance.

For farm operators, "Romashka" is characterized by its predictable life cycle. It does not require niche or overly complex cultivation techniques; a standard nutrient and crop protection program for muscat pumpkins is sufficient to achieve high yield targets and consistent fruit quality.
