Description TRIPLE 7
TRIPLE 7 — a medium-maturing potato variety intended for chip production. Tubers are oval-round in shape with yellow skin and light-yellow flesh. The average marketable tuber weight is 100–120 grams, starch content ranges from 16% to 20%, ensuring good taste and high product quality. The variety’s marketability reaches 85.5%, and storability is 94%, indicating a long storage period without quality loss.

The plant is tall, erect or semi-erect, with large light-green or green leaves. The flower is medium-sized with absent or very weak anthocyanin pigmentation on the inner side. The variety is resistant to potato cancer pathogen and golden potato cyst nematode, as well as resistant to leaf curl. However, it has moderate resistance to late blight but is susceptible to potato tuber and leaf phytophthora.

TRIPLE 7 stands out for its high market yield, ranging from 190 to 421 centners per hectare, with maximum yields reaching up to 663 centners per hectare, significantly exceeding the standards of many known varieties. The variety is registered in the State Register for the Northwest, Central, and Central Chernozem regions, confirming its adaptability to various climatic conditions and agronomic requirements.
