Potato variety GUSAR is a medium-maturing table variety with a maturity period of about 85-90 days after planting. The plant is semi-erect, intermediate type, tall and robust, with medium-sized green leaves. Tubers have a regular oval shape with small eyes, yellow skin of moderate density, and light-yellow flesh. The average mass of marketable tubers ranges from 106 to 185 grams, and starch content varies between 14.3-17.8%, ensuring good taste and excellent culinary qualities.

GUSAR variety is characterized by high yield, reaching 239 to 532 centners per hectare, and in some cases up to 690 centners. Marketable tuber percentage ranges from 74-98%, and storability is very high — up to 95%, allowing storage of the harvest for up to 10 months without significant quality loss. The potato tolerates drought well and is low-maintenance, making it suitable for cultivation under various climatic conditions.

GUSAR exhibits resistance to several diseases, including potato cancer and golden potato cyst nematode. It is also resistant to crinkly mosaic and leaf curl. However, it is moderately susceptible to phytophthora on stems and tubers, and may be affected by late blight and rhizoctonia. For high-quality harvest, proper soil preparation, planting scheme, and agronomic practices are recommended.
