Sunflower Malenkii Prints

Field Performance: Insights on «Маленький принц»

When dealing with early-maturing sunflower varieties, control over the field is the primary factor. «Маленький принц» (Little Prince) from the manufacturer «Ліст» stands out for its structural simplicity. With a plant height of 90–100 cm, it is exceptionally easy to manage, allowing the combine harvester to move through the field without dealing with excessive biomass or complex cutting issues.

Agronomic Traits and Operation

• Vegetation period: 90–100 days. This duration provides a strategic advantage for crop rotation, leaving enough time for proper soil preparation for the next season.
• Plant structure: Standing at about a meter tall, this variety is highly resistant to lodging. Even in adverse weather, the plant remains upright, keeping harvest losses to a minimum.
• Ease of maintenance: The uniform ripening ensures that harvesting is a predictable, straightforward process. For an operator, this means less downtime and higher efficiency during the peak season.

For growers using this hybrid, the main advantage is reliability. «Маленький принц» does not demand overly complex fertilization schemes, adapting well to various soil conditions across Ukraine. Because the plant does not overgrow, the seed heads remain stable even if the harvest date is pushed back slightly. It is a no-nonsense, pragmatic choice for farmers who prioritize consistency and ease of operation in their fields.
