Guslar

Guslar is a high-yielding early-maturing sunflower hybrid developed by the Institute of Plant Growing named after V. Ya. Yuryev of NAAN of Ukraine and registered in the Ukrainian Plant Variety Register since 2015. It is intended for conventional cultivation methods and adapted to the conditions of Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Northern Steppe of Ukraine. The hybrid's vegetation period is approximately 105 days, and plant height reaches about 165 cm. The sunflower head diameter varies within the range of 22-23 cm, contributing to effective yield formation.

The Guslar hybrid exhibits high resistance to drought, lodging, seed shattering, and major diseases such as false powdery mildew and downy mildew. These traits ensure stable and reliable yields even under adverse climatic conditions. The hybrid's yield potential reaches 4.7 t/ha (47 c/ha), with oil content in seeds around 51%, making it attractive for oilseed production.

Guslar seed material is supplied as F-1 hybrid seeds treated with the growth stimulator "Mars" and the fungicide "Maxim XL," which enhances germination and protects plants during early growth stages. Due to its characteristics and certification, this hybrid is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve high-quality sunflower yields.
