Lara

The Lara plum is a medium-sized tree with a spherical, slightly spreading crown of medium density. The bark on the trunk and main branches is gray, shoots are brownish-brown, and leaves are light green, medium-sized, elliptical in shape with pointed tips. The flowers are small and white, which is characteristic of this variety.

Lara plums are large, uniform, with an average weight of about 39.5 grams. The main fruit color is yellow with a yellow-red overlay color. The flesh is of medium density, slightly dry, the juice is colorless, and the taste is sour-sweet. The stone is free and of medium size. For successful pollination, the varieties Khabarovskaya rannaya and Amurskaya roza are recommended.

The Lara variety was selected from the seed sowing of Amurskaya roza X free pollination and submitted for state variety testing in 2012. It is distinguished by good taste qualities and is suitable for cultivation in corresponding climatic conditions.
