Description AMUR ROSE PLUM
Amur Rose Plum is an early-ripening variety bred through hybridization of the Amur Early and Santa Rosa varieties, widely cultivated in the Far East. The tree is medium to tall with a compact, pyramidal crown shape and weak branching. It begins bearing fruit from the 3rd-4th year after planting, ripening by mid-August. The variety is distinguished by high winter hardiness and frost resistance, allowing it to survive the Far East winter well, although yields may decrease in colder regions. A pollinator is required for fruiting.

The fruits are large, round-egg-shaped, weighing from 35 to 50 grams. The main fruit color is greenish-yellow, with a dark burgundy blush with a purple tint, giving them an attractive appearance. The flesh is yellow-green with white veins, tender and very juicy, with a pleasant sweet taste and slight acidity, making the plum refreshing. The pit separates weakly from the flesh, which should be taken into account when using the fruits.

The variety is resistant to major diseases and pests, although problems with worms and fruit rot are noted in some cases. Yield is high and annual, although in some cases it may be moderate. Amur Rose is versatile in application: fruits are suitable for both fresh consumption and canning. Despite some shortcomings, such as poor fruit storage and difficulties in separating the pit, the variety is popular among gardeners due to its taste qualities and decorative appearance.
