Dneprovsky

Peach variety Dneprovsky — a self-fertile Ukrainian selection developed at the Grishko Botanical Garden. It is a mid-season variety, fruit ripening at the beginning of August. The tree is medium-sized with a wide, spreading, oval crown, ensuring good air circulation and fruit exposure. The variety is characterized by high yield, with up to 40–50 kg of fruit per tree. Moreover, the wood and fruit buds of this variety exhibit high frost resistance, and the variety demonstrates good resistance to diseases and drought. Dneprovsky peach fruits have round or slightly oval shape with medium weight ranging from 120 to 200 grams, usually around 150 grams. The skin is thin but tough, with a soft, velvety texture, yellow in color with a rich red blush covering most of the surface. The skin separates easily from the flesh, facilitating consumption. The stone is elongated oval-shaped and detaches freely from the flesh, which is an important advantage for processing and fresh consumption. The flesh is white or green-yellow, very juicy and aromatic, with a pleasant sweet-tart flavor and rich peach aroma. The flesh has a slightly fibrous texture, giving it a unique mouthfeel. Due to its flavor qualities and resistance to adverse conditions, the Dneprovsky variety is excellent for both fresh consumption and processing.
