Description Tsyganochka
The 'Tsyganochka' plum is a unique plant with decorative anthocyanin leaf and flower coloring, making it a true garden ornament. It is a medium-sized, fast-growing tree with a spreading crown of medium density. The leaves are small, wide, inversely egg-shaped, with a characteristic dark green or purple-red hue, smooth and glossy. The flowers are small, rose-shaped, reddish, arranged in umbels, which adds extra decorative value to the plant. The 'Tsyganochka' plums are small, weighing about 11-15 grams, with a round-flat shape, a distinct belly suture, and a strong waxy coating. Their coloring is dark burgundy, almost black, with a purple-brown or black blurred cover. The flesh is raspberry-colored, tender, juicy, and fleshy with an excellent sweet taste and a tasting score of 4.7 points. The pit is very small, making up about 4% of the fruit weight, and separates easily from the flesh. The fruits have high transportability and can be stored for up to 10 days, making them convenient for harvesting and selling. The 'Tsyganochka' variety is characterized by an early ripening period, starting in mid-August, and stable high yields provided pollinators are nearby. It has high winter hardiness down to -40°C, drought resistance, and resistance to diseases such as clasterosporiosis, as well as pests, including codling moths. Thanks to these qualities, the variety does not require chemical protection and is suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions, providing a stable and quality harvest.
