Oksamitoviy

The peach variety Oksamitoviy is an early-ripening cultivar developed by Ukrainian breeders in the early 21st century. The tree is of medium size, reaching a height of 2-4 meters with a spreading pyramidal crown. Flowering occurs in the second decade of May, and fruiting begins on the third year after planting. The variety is distinguished by high winter hardiness, strong resistance to pests, and disease resistance, particularly to leaf curl.

The fruits are round, weighing between 100 and 140 grams. The skin is thin, soft, velvety, yellow with a red blush that may cover the entire surface. The flesh is creamy, juicy, aromatic, and sweet, with soft fibers. The stone is small but may sometimes be slightly adherent. Due to its dense flesh, the fruits are suitable for both fresh consumption and processing: compotes, freezing, and fruit salads.

The variety is highly productive — yielding up to 45-50 kg per tree. It is adaptable to growing conditions and is recommended for planting in the forest-steppe zone of Ukraine. The fruits' versatile use and high flavor quality make the Oksamitoviy peach popular among consumers.
