The pepper variety "Tenderness" is a medium-early, medium-height semi-spreading bush up to 80 cm tall, recommended primarily for cultivation in plastic and glass-covered greenhouses. The vegetation period is approximately 110-120 days from seedling emergence to fruiting. For successful cultivation, after transplanting seedlings, lateral shoots and leaves should be removed up to the first fork, which promotes better development of main fruits and increases yield, reaching 1.7-1.9 kg per plant.
The fruits of this pepper have an elongated-pyramidal or conical shape, measuring 10-12 cm in length and 4-7 cm in diameter, with a weight of about 100-110 g. In technical maturity, they are light green or yellow-green, and upon full ripening, they acquire a rich red color. The fruit skin is thin and tender, with a wall thickness of 6-8 mm, and the flesh is juicy and possesses high flavor qualities. Due to its high vitamin C content, this variety is appreciated by both enthusiasts and professionals.
The "Tenderness" pepper is versatile in application: it can be used fresh for salads, canned, or frozen for winter storage. The crop requires regular watering, especially during flowering and fruit formation, as it is highly moisture-loving. For seedling cultivation, seeds are sown in February at soil temperature around +25 °C, and transplanting into the ground is performed when soil temperature reaches +16 °C. The variety is suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones, including northern and central regions.
