Onion CODAL

The CODAL variety forms a marketable bulb approximately 120 days after germination, allowing harvest at optimal times. The plant exhibits vigorous growth and a well-developed leafy canopy with a strong waxy coating, contributing to its resilience and product quality. Bulbs have an ideal round shape, dense structure, and uniform appearance, with a slender neck, diameter of 80-90 mm, and weight ranging from 160 to 200 grams. Their shiny dark-brown skin gives the product an attractive appearance and high storability. The CODAL variety is designed for long-term storage, enabling bulb quality to be maintained in controlled environments for up to 8-9 months. This makes it especially valuable for commercial cultivation and extended marketing periods. The bulb is well-suited for mechanical harvesting, simplifying harvest operations and increasing efficiency. Best results are achieved with early seed sowing in February-March, promoting optimal plant development and high-quality yield. CODAL is versatile and suitable for cultivation under all soil-climatic conditions in Ukraine, making it a reliable choice for various regions of the country. The recommended seeding rate is 1.0 million seeds per hectare, ensuring optimal planting density and maximum productivity. Due to its characteristics and adaptability, the CODAL variety is an excellent solution for farmers seeking high-quality, long-storing onions.
