PALERMO JUSMIT

PALERMO JUSMIT is a medium-maturing hybrid of sweet pepper of the Dulce Italiano type, intended for cultivation in plastic greenhouses and under plastic coverings. The plant is spreading, long-growing with green medium-sized leaves, and the fruits have a narrow-triangular shape and glossy surface. In technical maturity, the fruits are green, and at biological maturity, they turn bright yellow. The average fruit weight ranges from 106 to 145 grams, wall thickness is 4-6 mm, and the number of chambers varies from 2 to 3. The fruit position is pendant, facilitating harvest.

PALERMO JUSMIT fruits are distinguished by very sweet and aromatic fruity flavor with thin skin, making them ideal for fresh consumption, home cooking, and canning. Flavor qualities are stable throughout the year, with sugar content on the Brix scale ranging from 8 to 10. The hybrid has a high vitamin C content — 50% more than that of block-shaped peppers, enhancing its nutritional value. Yield in plastic greenhouses reaches 6.4-7.0 kg per square meter, and in open ground — 5.6-6.0 kg per square meter.

PALERMO JUSMIT is more compact compared to the Palermo RZ variety, allowing them to be used together for packaging (duopack), as the fruits have similar shape and size. The hybrid stores well and retains its flavor for a long time. Seeds undergo careful selection and processing, packed in high-quality packaging that protects from light and moisture, ensuring high germination rate. This hybrid is included in the State Register of Selection Achievements approved for use in Russia.
