Pepper variety "Heavyweight" is an early-maturing variety developed based on foreign selection. The plant is semi-spreading, tall, with large dark-green, wrinkled leaves. Fruits have a cube-like shape with a ribbed surface and strong gloss. In technical ripeness, fruits are dark green, and in biological ripeness — dark yellow. Average fruit weight ranges from 200 to 250 grams, with wall thickness reaching 8-10 mm, ensuring juicy and tender flesh. Fresh fruits have a pleasant taste, with a distinct sweet and pepper aroma, as well as high vitamin C content. The variety is characterized by high yield — 8 to 8.5 kg per square meter, making it attractive for cultivation both in open ground and under film coverings, including heated and unheated greenhouses. Fruits are uniform, large, and marketable, which facilitates their wide use in home cooking and canning. Early maturity allows achieving technical ripeness as early as 115-120 days after emergence. A distinctive feature of the "Heavyweight" variety is the thick fruit wall, reaching up to 10 mm, which gives the fruits density and juiciness. High vitamin C content makes this pepper not only tasty but also beneficial. Due to its characteristics, the variety suits diverse cultivation methods and applications, ensuring a stable and high-quality harvest.
