The 'Summer Gift' pepper variety is a high-yielding, mid-early maturing type with a vegetation period of 90 to 130 days, depending on growing conditions. Plants are compact, medium-height, 35 to 55 cm tall, with semi-spreading or compact crowns about 40 cm wide. The bushes do not require staking, pruning, or pinching, significantly simplifying care. The root system is well-developed, and the leaves are small and do not overcrowd stems. The variety is resistant to low temperatures and has inherent immunity to common diseases such as fusarium and verticillium. The peppers have a conical shape and change color as they ripen: from dark green in technical maturity to dark red in biological maturity. Fruit weight ranges from 69 to 110 grams, length reaches up to 12 cm, and wall thickness is 4-8 mm. The flesh is sweet, dense, juicy, with a distinct aroma. Suitable for fresh consumption, salad preparation, stuffing, as well as canning and freezing. Due to good storability and market appearance, fruits retain quality during transport and storage. The 'Summer Gift' variety is grown using seedlings. Seeds are sown at the end of February in light, fertile, and well-aerated soils, with planting depth not exceeding 1 cm. Germination requires a temperature of about 23-25°C. Seedlings are transplanted and hardened off before planting in open ground or greenhouses in early June at 40x40 cm intervals. Plants prefer sunny areas with neutral soils, regular but infrequent watering with warm water, as well as feeding with complex fertilizers, including nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorus. The variety is easy to care for, resistant to climatic conditions, and suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in greenhouses, greenhouses, on balconies, and even on well-lit windowsills.
