Pepper Laska

Reliable Open-Field Performance

The 'Laska' pepper by Agrofirma Aelita is a reliable variety designed specifically for those who prioritize predictability in open-field cultivation. This is a practical choice for anyone looking to save time on seasonal maintenance.

Growth Cycle and Hardiness

The 72–78 day maturity period is consistent and reliable. By reaching harvest readiness in this timeframe, the plant avoids the late-season temperature drops that often lead to issues in the garden. It shows great resilience, handling typical weather fluctuations well, which is essential for any open-air plot.

The Fruit Profile

The conical fruit, weighing 40–60 grams, is highly versatile. A wall thickness of 4–5 mm strikes the perfect balance for various culinary uses, particularly stuffing or home canning. Because the peppers are firm and compact, they transport remarkably well, maintaining their structural integrity from the field to the kitchen table.

• Low Maintenance: The determinate habit minimizes the need for intervention.
• Consistent Yields: Reliable production cycle under standard agronomic practices.
• Ideal Geometry: The uniform conical shape is perfect for canning and processing.

Developed by Nastenko, Kachaynik, and Gulkin, 'Laska' is a solid, no-nonsense choice. It represents a level of selection quality that gives the gardener confidence in the final outcome, season after season.
