Cucumber Balkan F1 is an early parthenocarpic hybrid of Dutch selection, intended for cultivation both in open ground and in plastic and glass greenhouses. The plant has a balanced type with good growth energy, short internodes, and a clustered fruiting type, ensuring rapid vegetative mass accumulation and early fruiting as early as 35-45 days after planting. The recommended planting density is 2.5-3 plants per square meter, allowing to achieve high yields of 15-25 kg per square meter or 80-95 tons per hectare.

The fruits of cucumber Balkan F1 have a length of about 12-13 cm and an average weight of 110-120 g. They possess a thin dark green skin without bitterness and a juicy, crisp flesh with a small number of seeds. A distinctive feature is a pronounced aroma and the flavor of field cucumber. The cucumbers retain their taste and attractive appearance during long-term storage and transportation over long distances, making them popular both on fresh vegetable markets and for processing and canning.

The hybrid exhibits high resistance to major cucumber diseases, such as cucumber mosaic virus, cladosporiosis, and powdery mildew. It responds well to fertilization and foliar feeding, which contributes to a stable and high yield, especially during the first fruit harvest. Cucumber Balkan F1 is suitable for cultivation during spring-summer and summer-autumn periods, ensuring stable fruiting and excellent taste qualities of fresh and canned fruits.
