Sympathy

Sweet pepper Sympathy F1 — a mid-season hybrid developed by the Dutch company Rijk Zwaan, suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in greenhouses. The plant is medium-height, compact, with strong stems and abundant fruiting, ensuring high and stable yields. It is recommended to plant no more than three plants per square meter in greenhouses. The hybrid is resistant to tobacco mosaic virus and other diseases, simplifying care and improving crop quality. The Sympathy pepper fruits have a cube-shaped form with a glossy finish and bright orange color at biological maturity, which changes from dark green at technical maturity. They are fleshy, four-chambered, with a wall thickness of 9–10 mm, diameter of 8–10 cm, and length of about 10 cm. The average fruit weight is 200–250 grams, with individual fruits reaching up to 400 grams. The pepper has a pleasant sweet flavor and rich taste, making it versatile for culinary use, canning, processing, and freezing. The Sympathy hybrid is characterized by high yield — up to 6.5 kg per square meter — as well as good transportability and long-term storage capability without quality loss. For successful cultivation, it is recommended to start with seedlings, sowing seeds at a depth of about 1 cm at a temperature of +25–27 degrees Celsius, and maintaining a temperature of +20–21 degrees Celsius after germination. Main care includes regular watering, weed removal, and fertilization, promoting healthy plant growth and abundant fruiting.
