BADMINTON — a medium-ripening variety of sweet pepper (Capsicum annuum L.), intended for cultivation in open ground and under plastic coverings. The plant is semi-spreading, of medium height, with medium-sized green, wrinkled leaves. Fruits have a conical shape, drooping, glossy, weighing from 120 to 140 grams. In technical maturity, they are green, and in biological maturity — light red. Fruit wall thickness is 6 mm, and the number of locules varies from 2 to 3.

This variety is characterized by high yield and excellent taste qualities of fresh fruits, making it popular for fresh consumption, as well as for all types of culinary processing and canning. Yield of marketable fruits under plastic coverings reaches 5.3–5.5 kg per square meter, allowing the variety to be effectively used both for personal consumption and for commercial cultivation and market sales.
