Description
Sweet pepper Kalipso — an early-maturing variety, intended for cultivation in unheated greenhouses and open ground. Plants reach a height of 50-55 cm and form 14-18 rectangular-shaped fruits across the cross-section. Fruits are 8-9 cm long, 7-8 cm wide, and weigh between 140 to 200 grams. The wall thickness is 6-9 mm, providing juicy and succulent fruit flesh. Fruit maturity occurs 70-75 days after transplanting seedlings to their permanent location.
Fruits of the Kalipso pepper are pale green in early stages and turn bright yellow upon physiological ripeness. The flesh is characterized by a sweet taste, juiciness, and pleasant aroma, making this variety suitable for both fresh consumption and processing. High yield and fruit quality make Kalipso an attractive choice for gardeners and farmers.
In addition to its taste qualities, Kalipso pepper is a valuable source of vitamins and minerals, including vitamin C, beta-carotene, calcium, potassium, phosphorus, and magnesium. Regular consumption of this vegetable helps strengthen the immune system, lower blood pressure, and maintain overall health. For successful cultivation, it is recommended to sow seeds in spring and transplant seedlings to a warm, wind- and sun-protected location, ensuring good growth and abundant harvest.
