Alesh Popovich pepper is a medium-maturing sweet pepper variety intended for cultivation in open ground. From seedlings to technical maturity, it takes 100–105 days, and to biological maturity — 120–125 days. The plant is bushy, slightly leafy, medium to tall, with a strong stem. On one plant, 4–5 fruits form simultaneously, which are drooping, rectangular in shape with a long peduncle. The fruits are smooth, glossy, without transverse ridges, large, weighing 160–170 grams, with a wall thickness of 6–8 mm. In technical maturity, the fruits are light green, and in biological maturity — red.
Alesh Popovich pepper is characterized by high yield — up to 4.6–5 kg per square meter at a planting density of 8 plants per m² and a spacing of 70x20 cm. The plant requires increased nitrogen-phosphorus feeding during bud formation for optimal development. The variety is resistant to verticillium wilt (Va, Vd) and tolerates adverse weather conditions well, making it suitable for cultivation in various regions.
This variety is valued for its excellent taste, high marketability, and good transportability. Alesh Popovich pepper is widely used fresh, in home cooking, and is suitable for canning. Due to its characteristics and resistance, it is a reliable choice for gardeners and farmers aiming to obtain a high-quality and flavorful harvest.
