Summer variety selected at the Rossoshansky Zonal Experimental Station for Horticulture. Developed by A. M. Ulyanishcheva from crossing new varieties Rossoshanskaia Krasivaya and Mramornaya. Accepted for State Testing in 1995. Rarely distributed, mainly in the southern part of Voronezh Oblast.
Trees medium- or strong-growing, broad-pyramidal. Moderate crown density. Bark of the trunk dark gray, scaffold branches gray. Placement of scaffold branches at an angle close to vertical.
Shoots reddish-brown, straight, with rather weak branching. Fruit set mixed, including at the ends of one-year growths. Buds small, numerous, inconspicuous. Leaves medium-sized, egg-shaped, green, bare, glossy, curved downward along the midrib. Base rounded, margin finely toothed. Petiole of medium length.
Inflorescence - umbel, flowers medium-sized, white, small-cup-shaped, with weak fragrance. Petals oval. Stigmas positioned above anthers. Flowering period medium.
Fruits medium or above-average size, elongated-pyriform, uniform, smooth. Main color golden-yellow, covering color orange-red, blurred, on most of the fruit. Under-skin dots small, densely arranged, rusty. Skin smooth, glossy, slightly rusted. Pedicel medium length and thickness, no depression, calyx open, dish wide, small, flat. Subcalyx tube cup-shaped. Seeds medium-sized, elongated, dark brown.
Flesh cream-yellow, slightly acidic-sweet, with moderate aroma, tender, very juicy, oily. Appearance attractive (rating 4.6 points), taste excellent (4.7 points). Chemical composition of fruits: dry matter up to 16.9%, sugars up to 11.1%, titratable acids up to 0.23%, ascorbic acid up to 8.5 mg/100g, pectic substances up to 1.1%.
Harvest ripeness occurs in the second half of August. Consumer ripeness lasts about a month (summer variety). Maximum storage life 30 days. Transportability and fruit quality are medium. Universal variety - dessert and for making excellent compotes.
Begins fruiting from the 8th year after grafting in the nursery. High yield: at ages 9-13 years - 130 centners per hectare, at the level of control Rossoshanskaia Krasivaya. Fruits regularly, do not drop.
Under sudden cold to -21.5°C in November 1993, bark damage on the trunk amounted to 2.6 points; down to -32°C in February 1994, total degree of freezing damage 0.9 points. Unresistant to spring frosts during flowering, as with other varieties. Highly resistant to scab.
Advantages of the variety: early maturity, high commercial and consumer qualities of fruits, high regular yields.
