Description

Anapsky Early is an early-ripening table grape variety characterized by medium vine vigor and hermaphroditic flowering. Bunches are medium to large, conical or cylindrical, sometimes with wings, of medium density, weighing about 200-260 grams. Berries are small and round with a firm skin; color ranges from white to amber-yellow with a yellowish-green tint. The flesh is fleshy and juicy with a harmonious taste and characteristic aroma, sometimes including pineapple-isabelline and caramel notes. Ripening occurs in late August, 110-120 days after flowering.

The variety is distinguished by high yield, reaching 140-150 centners per hectare, and good marketability. Shoot maturation is good, with a fruitfulness coefficient of about 1.2 and a cluster load of 30-40 buds. Short pruning is recommended, leaving 3-4 buds, with high-stem or cordón training. The grapes are suitable for fresh consumption, as well as for making juices and dessert wines. The harvest withstands prolonged stay on the vine without loss of taste and market qualities and has good transportability.

Anapsky Early has enhanced resistance to phylloxera and frost hardiness down to -27°C. It has medium resistance to downy mildew, powdery mildew, and gray rot, making it suitable for cultivation in southern regions of Russia. The variety is recommended for arbor culture and can be successfully used both for local consumption and for shipping over short distances.
